Graduated as a Physics/Electronics Major at the American University in Cairo. He then worked as an editor for famed directors such as Yousef Chahine, Yousry Nasrallah and Ateyyat El Abnoudy. In 2001, he received a Fulbright fellowship to study at the Center for Advanced Digital Applications (CADA) at New York University (NYU), earning a Certificate in Digital Special Effects. At the same time, he pursued a diploma in film directing at the New York Film Academy. His short film THE DECISION was the winner of the Best 1st Time Director Award at the Sakia Short FF in Cairo 2003. Since his return to his native Cairo in 2002, Ezzat has directed and produced several documentaries for Orbit TV. Ezzat graduated in 1994 from the American University in Cairo, and in 2001 he received a Fulbright fellowship to study digital special effects at the Center for Advanced Digital Applications at New York University. At the same time, he pursued a diploma in film directing at the New York Film Academy. When he arrived in the States, the only project he had in mind was a short film called The Decision. The 11 September attacks, however, changed that.
